Jake Paul has left the door open for a PFL fight with Nate Diaz following their boxing match on August 5th, 2023.
The boxer will be looking to rectify his loss against Tommy Fury against Diaz who will be making his boxing debut.
Jake Paul is the heavy favorite, as Diaz has not fought in any capacity since his win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 last September. With that being said, the viability of these crossover events have been questioned.
This is particularly since Tyson Fury has agreed to fight Francis Ngannou on October 28th, 2023, the latter who will also be making his boxing debut.
Nevertheless, if Paul does beat Diaz as expected, he is open to fighting him in the cage. So much so that he previously offered the former PFL star $10 million to make it happen.
And given that Paul has also signed with the PFL, there is chance that such a bout could materialize.
“It’s looking like end of 2023, maybe beginning 2024. But I’m really excited. … I’ve been training jiu jitsu a little bit and getting back to my wrestling roots, I grew up wrestling in Ohio, Division I, have that background. I really just have to focus on learning the kicks, so I need about a year or so, and then I’m gonna be ready.”
“Hopefully we could lock down a big name, because I want to challenge myself. People think I’m crazy, which I am, but I like doing things differently.]
“And since the beginning of this whole ‘influencer boxing’ thing, I’ve always said that I wanted to do MMA, so for me, I’m excited to do it and to be doing it with the PFL,” Paul
As such, Paul is targeting Diaz in the future.

Regardless of what you may think about Paul, there is no denying that he is making headway waves in combat sports both inside the ring and outside.
And if that can have the impact of bringing more fans to the sport, then that can only be a good thing moving forward.
